An elderly man was driving his beloved granddaughter in his old pickup truck—but suddenly, their path was blocked by a gang of thugs! And when they caught a glimpse of something under her dress, they were utterly speechless

On that early Saturday morning, Nick Peterson woke up before the crack of dawn, gripped by an unease he couldn’t quite place. The streets outside were empty; the small town was still asleep, and so was his granddaughter, Daisy. At 23, Daisy was a bright and beautiful young woman, the pride and joy of Nick’s life. He’d raised her, put her through nursing school, and now she was about to get married. She’d met a good man, Alex, an up-and-coming lawyer from the city.

But one thing weighed heavy on Nick’s heart: Alex had convinced Daisy to move from their quiet town to the city, leaving Nick behind. He loved her so much that he refused to let even a hint of his sadness show. “Grandpa, come live with us! Alex is fine with it. We’ll have our own place—sure, it’s got a mortgage, but it’ll be ours,” Daisy urged.

“No, Daisy, you two go build your life together. I’ll stay here in my hometown. It’s where I was born, and it’s where I’ll pass. Just come visit me, and I’ll be waiting,” Nick replied. “Oh, and Daisy, I want to help with the house. I’ve saved up a hundred grand over the years, just for you.”

“Grandpa, no way! Alex and I can handle it,” Daisy protested. “Daisy, you’re my only family. Everything I have is for you. Let’s head to the bank this Saturday, withdraw the money, and close the account,” Nick insisted.

“Grandpa, that’s a lot of cash to carry. What if we get mugged? Maybe there’s a safer way, like a wire transfer or something,” Daisy fretted, always cautious about risks.

But Nick was old-school, slow to trust modern ways. “Don’t worry, Daisy. Muggers? In our little town? It’ll be fine.” Reassured by his confidence, Daisy let it go.

They set off in Nick’s beat-up old car, a short half-hour drive to the city. Nick was in high spirits, especially after the bank visit went smoothly, no red tape to slow them down. He felt proud, knowing he’d contribute to Daisy’s new home. Before she knew it, Daisy was back in the car, heading home, lost in daydreams of herself in a flowing white wedding dress and Alex in a sharp suit….
